After much deliberation, I have realized that I don't need so many "who is your divine father" tests? but rather, a test like "which god would your character be paired with?" because I like to add demigod children to the mix and do crossovers. For example, a typical Cullen-comes-back-years-later fic… if Bella had had some demigod child, who would she be with? The truth is that it depends a lot on each person's favorite god and their version of Bella. In the case of Marvel, it would be fun if it wasn't Tony Stark, but Pepper who had a demigod son. I'd lean towards Poseidon, because it would be fun if the Avengers expected a mini-duplicate Potts and he turned out to be a sarcastic, problematic boy or girl. And what about 911, which I have also thought about a lot? Sure, it was most likely Buck who had a little mongrel running around, (I have some ideas with an Iris daughter, or a fem-Percy Jackson) but it is canon that Kayla Knowles is Apollo's daughter and has a father mortal. An older, adult daughter of Bobby's would also be interesting. Maybe Athena, or, I don't know why, Demeter I do have an idea of a daughter of Demeter with Kyle Harmon, the son of Horatio Caine from CSI Miami Or a demigod in Teen Wolf. I have a lot of ideas about demigods here and you can ask me: -A daughter of Hades with Victoria Argent, Anastasia Argent, good relationship with the family, Chris knows that she is not her daughter but he loves her just the same, small that she pretends to be macabre but she is adorable. -Twin sons of Apollo and Braeden -A daughter of Ares and Kate Argent, fierce, stubborn, who hates her mother very much. -A little girl also from Kate, daughter of Zeus, Sapphire, younger than Allison, somewhat shy, sweet, but very mature -Cora returns to Beacon Hills with a wolf cub, her two-year-old daughter Eliana, daughter of Apollo. -A daughter of Athena, Olivia McCall, daughter of Rafael McCall

Our patient is (thankfully) sleeping so we’re spending some time with Dad this morning and meditating on His form of Khonsu pa-Khered, or Khonsu the Child.
Strangely there’s not a whole lot of information about this aspect of Dad. We know He is considered a form of Ra, the Divine Child of Amun and Mut. We know He wears the sidelock of youth. That’s it! So if anyone has any good reads and sources about him, we’d love if you could send them along!
We get Khonsu pa-Khered in a nice smush with Ihy, whom we worked with awhile back after He approached us before we knew Dad. I enjoy the implied association with music in reference to Khonsu.

Hermes / Mercury in his psychopomp form
what deity would you associate with king of cups reversed? i had a dream i was lost in the field during a thunderstorm and i layed my little brother on the ground and covered him so that the lightning would hit me and not him. a ball lightning came from the skies and was hot on my skin and my face but didn't hurt me. it then disappeared and skies cleared. i said: that is a sign from god! and my brother asked: which one? i then pulled out my cards and picked one and it was king of cups reversed. i need council on who it might mean (although i will probably find out regardless. the world works like that)

Survival 101 :
Buckle up your seatbelt darling because this is going to be triggering and one hell of a ride. Don't expect mushy from me. Might do it when tapped in my soft girl era but today I feel like a Villain.
1) Keep your mouth shut where you don't hold the power. No power no expressed opinions that can put you in trouble.
2) Learn manipulation and seduction skills. This will help you to detect when someone is trying to manipulate and seduce you. Saves a lot of drama and heartache.
3) Fight back strategically. We don't want to lose a job, a degree certificate, a bruise on your body, etc depending on your situation.
4) Facts over emotions. Always.
5) 90% of older men are creepy. Speaking from experience here. Play with them by ear. Get what you want by being polite and respectful but if they try to harass you or take advantage we turn Medusa on them or if you are not in a position to fight and walk out safe just play cutesy and shy and dumb. Ask him what he means and do not take a word said by him seriously. Dodge his advances like your life depends on it until you get an opening to run for the hills.
6) Snap out of delusions and pay attention to reality. People are not what you make them out to be they are what they show you. Stop making excuses for them.
7) Anxiety can be crippling. Panic attacks are the worst but no matter what happens try your level best to never show them publicly. Men are vultures and vulnerable women are easy prey for men.
8) That one friend who is all sweet to you and is your bff but anything positive happens in your life and suddenly starts becoming passive aggressive. Not your friend. Don't share any secrets. Best to be kept as an acquaintance.
9) Develop sarcasm and don't be afraid to put self entitled bitches and bastards in their place. Better being called a 'Mean Girl' over a 'Doormat'.
10) Bully back the bullies. It's 2024 sweetie we don't wait for an opportunity for revenge we fucking create it.
11) No matter how tough your life is going everyone shouldn't be getting a broadcast about it. At least not by your own mouth. Try to act as put together as you can.
12) Kindness is virtue but being apathetic saves you. Don't be the fool who bleeds through the stabs of the same knives again and again. "Because I can't see them in pain. I have a heart." Babygirl you have a life too. All that emotional stress is going to result in some serious problems in the upcoming years.
13) Learn when to quit. The most emotionally intelligent people I know are great quitters. They know when it's the end of an era.
14) Never disclose your family issues to outsiders. Until and unless a person has proved their loyalty to you year after year only those selected one or two people should know your domestic issues. Anyone else knowing it is like having a good gossip for tea time.
15) Lastly, there are no fucking saviours in real life. You are your own saviour.

"Minthara is so abusive to the player" *INCORRECT BUZZER NOISE*
Minthara would literally go to fucking hell for the opportunity to personally beat the absolute shit out of the person who actually did abuse you. She will throw hands with gods and devils just to avenge you.
And you will not be able to convince her not to.

Perry, have you seen Phineas and Ferb?
Tumblr media
D: I guess it’s a? Cartoon?? Something about a blue platypus, I think… what in the world…
P: aren’t platypuses brown?
I: oh! And venomous!!
Mod note: Perry and Iris are 90s kids, so Keep in mind not all cultural references will be stuff they’ve heard of!
To answer the unspoken question- yes, once the cartoon finally DOES come out in 2018, Perry 100% gets the Perry the platypus joke made at him pretty regularly, mostly by his bastard bf, who figure out how to make the noise just to bother him w it lmao

Jesus is my older brother, not my dad.
other christians don't seem to feel the same?
am i missing something where he insists on such a thing except perhaps with actual little children?
#christianity#tumblrstake#Quakers#i just want to know what y'all think#progressive christianity#some christians see themselves as his children#but again most chrsitians are sippin trinity juice so the Father is the Son? egro Jesus can be Dad#i guess i'm not a true monotheist bc if Jesus is a child of God and told his disciples to call him friend. he is my peer#Jesus is my peer - big brother - mentor - friend#God the creator is my Mother/Father/Parent(s) as well as Jesus'#Jesus and I are both children of God and Jesus is my teacher/my respected older brother/ my friend#i think the Holy Spirit is what generally moves around among humans and through humans. experiencing God through others.#also an internal prompting on what direction to take (which typically needs to undergo through discernment) but is sometimes an act rn thing#hence the gift of the Holy Spirit being gifted to us#but now i'm getting theological in the tags#did i mention that all of this is through my christian lense and a muslim could have a different perception and be just as valid#and thats on different ways people see the Divine and how the Divine presents Godself/selves to different people#i know this because Heavenly Mother was at my conversion experience. she offered an invitation - an embrace#and i took it immediately a wept#and i think that presentation was intentional bc i may not have/wouldn't have reacted the same way to Heavenly Father#our relationship is good now - Heavenly Father and I -currently on the rocks in my “ God#in my “God - why?” era. shit has been dark. and people are commiting atrocites in your name#i do pray for their smitting. but only in a way God with Hir cosmic justice sees fit#and for softened hearts more often but on one occassion it was “plz get these sinners in line” and pulling out psalm 94#Godposting#religion

Dua Khonsu!
can I have some poetry for Khonshu please?
O' Khonsu,
my arms are raised towards your nightly shine,
hymns are sung in your name,
and grain given for offering.
It is you who measures time,
He of the Sidelock,
who guides our steps through the year
Dua Khonsu!

I want to talk about the normalization (especially in ethnic communities ) in baby mama culture including even those of us who have grown up sheltered or wealthy or are currently wealthy or considered celebrities (for example like skai Jackson, keke palmer, Halle Bailey, Jayda cheaves, etc.) and the types of fathers being chosen and fetishized.
A lot of girls within black and brown communities are not raised nor taught what it means to have high levels of self worth, standards, or boundaries which leads to a whole lot of us going out into the world when we’re ready to seek out romantic relationships and connections and connecting with men who are less than satisfactory, can’t fulfill our needs, can’t love us, are in a wounded masculine energy, and have generations of karmic cycles and trauma that would not benefit us if we were to invest in relationships with them or procreate with them. We are not taught that if we can’t find a husband in a man that he should not get a child out of us nor be in our energy, and/or finding a romantic partner in us. We’re not taught what fully healed and divine masculine men look like, we’re not even taught what you should do when we come across individuals in our lives who can’t love us, display dysfunctional behaviors, display abusive or toxic behaviors, etc.
I had previously made a point a long while ago about the suppression and demonization of femininity within ethnic households when it comes to raising little girls and daughters. My post was mostly surrounded around black girls as I grew up black so I have a first hand account of that experience. The type of suppression I’m talking about can fall into purity culture, the “too grown” rhetoric, the idea of raising girls and women in ways that highly encourage them to grow up and be home makers and serve and center men in their lives in self-sacrificial and codependent ways, etc. interest in romantic relationships and connections starts as early as middle school and you have a responsibility to your daughters to raise and teach them up in a way that will prepare them to be discerning and have high levels of self love and worth growing up and also prepare them for becoming and being a fully grown woman and a functional one at that.
There are way too many girls and women who don’t know their worth because they weren’t taught, way too many girls and women who don’t quite make that transition from being a teenager/a young girl into being a grown woman and operating as such, way too many girls and women who were never taught the ways of womanhood or what it meant to cultivate your femininity or carry it in a way that was conducive to them and their development (down to hygiene basics to etiquette and “game”)
And then we wonder why girls end up being baby mothers, end up in abusive relationships or attached and stuck to men who don’t really love them, don’t know their worth or don’t know who they are, and don’t know how to be women and operate as one in the world. Because they weren’t taught. You have to teach them.

Tips for Dysfunctional Family Girlies Part 2:
1) Get your basics straight. Education. Boundaries. Financial independence. Further breaking it down and linking it if you get proper education at some point you are bound to get an awareness of this world, if you are able to adapt and improvise yourself and develop your emotional intelligence and get your boundaries straight you will save yourself a lot of unnecessary drama and problems. Education (formal and informal) both will help you in gaining opportunities and if you are financially independent, you are holding the power to make your own decisions.
2) Develop thick skin. Your mom is calling you names. Slut, whore and what not. Your dad doesn't trust you and abuses you physically. So, what now? Are you going to let them define what you are or internalize the anger and use it as a fuel to become successful? Choice is yours.
3) They say you don't owe an explanation to anyone. Sorry to burst your little bubble. Actually you do. We live in a society and have relationships that we need to maintain for survival. This hyper independent stuff is only good to read. We have responsibilities that we need to fulfill. If you don't owe an explanation to anyone then don't cry about a closure from someone too. If you can live by this go ahead and practice it.
4) Stop isolating yourself. That's it. That's the point.
5) First kill the fear inside you. Being a rebel outside the house is no good. Be disciplined. Know how to manipulate your family members in your favor and if you can't just find the weak points and threaten. I know it's difficult to implement but you learn through trial and error. Plus something is better than nothing.
6) Stop glorifying people who treat you with kindness and love. That's the bare minimum. Just because you didn't get it served in a silver spoon doesn't mean it is not served in a silver spoon. People can have ulterior motives and even if they don't fix it in your brain that's normal. No rose colored glasses allowed.
7) Don't be afraid of indulging in your sexuality. No I am not saying go and have sex with people. I mean it in a deeper sense. Connect with the repressed sexual side and try to find healthy outlets. Don't dim yourself to fit in others'expectations or to ease someone's insecurity. Be unapologetic about your wants and desires. Know yourself. It's a powerful energy source if you know how to use it positively.
8) Cry, cry and cry. Wail like a child. No need to keep it all in. No need to act like a macho woman BUT only in front of your god or your belief system. Max in front of your truly trusted people.
9) Question everything as easily as breathing. Doubt every thing. Every action. Every person. What proof do you have to not doubt ? Stop giving benefit of doubts. Stop looking for excuses on how they could be good and instead look for ways in which they can harm you. That's your lottery to be poised and composed. It's just what it is.
10) Obsession. We have it in loads. That's natural to us. So the trick here is to be obsessive. Hella obsessive but about things, topics, goals, subjects, inanimate things, etc. God forbid but never be obsessive about a person. Not even over your dead body. Why? For that I need to make another detailed post I think.
